C.R. GILLESPIE

C.R. Gillespie is a sound artist and field-recordist, recently relocated back to his hometown of Nanaimo after an extended period living in Toronto. Utilizing synthesizers, samples and 1/4" tape machines, he performs and records music heavily influenced by Japanese ambient artists, European Progressive Music of the 1970's, and the New York-Downtown school of Drone. He has released albums on labels such as Séance Centre and Metachroma Currency (Canada), Hidden Harmony Recordings (Estonia), and has an upcoming LP, Island of Women, to be released on Sound As Language (US) mid-2025.
